Faithful & Flourishing — A 30-Day Devotional Journal for Women Over 50

Before You Begin

A Note From Rhonda

My Fresh Start Date for More Peace & Clarity

Mark the day you said yes to a calmer, clearer walk with Him.

I want you to know something before you write a single word in this journal.

You are not only enough. You are MORE than enough.

God loves you exactly the way you are right now, in this moment, on this day. Not the version of you that has it all together (and let's be honest, none of us ever really do). Not the future version of you who has figured everything out (because that day never quite arrives either). You, right now, exactly as you are.

He just wants more for you. He wants to draw you into a closer, deeper connection with Him. And for the women who have walked this journey with intention and honesty, what they have found on the other side is more peace, more freedom, and a deeper relationship with God than they ever thought possible.

That is available to you too.

You are not too late. You have not tried too many times. You are not too far gone.

You are right on time.

Now let's begin.

With love and grace,
Rhonda Bunkley

A Letter From Rhonda

Sit with me for a moment.

Before you begin Day 1, I want to sit with you for just a moment.

My days are so much more peaceful now. I find joy in the smallest things I used to take for granted. I love watching the palm trees dance in the wind. I hear birds chirping in the morning and actually stop to listen. I treasure quiet moments sitting with my journal, praying and asking God to silence every voice that is not from Him — whether it is my own fears, my emotions, or the lies of the enemy.

I watch my kittens play and I smile. I listen to jazz music instead of constantly chasing excitement and adrenaline. I am learning new things, exploring new experiences, and yes — horseback riding is next on my list.

What I have discovered is that freedom is not found only in the big milestones. It is found in the ordinary moments. It is found in peace. It is found in presence. It is found in being fully awake to the life God has given you.

For years I thought alcohol made life more enjoyable. Today I know it was actually preventing me from fully experiencing the beauty that was already there.

That beauty is waiting for you too.

This journal is not about perfection. It is not about labels or willpower or white-knuckling your way through. It is about showing up honestly, one day at a time, and letting God meet you exactly where you are.

You are not too far gone. You are not too old. You are not too broken. You are right on time.

Let's begin.

With all my love and grace,
Rhonda
